What is your day job? (If any) Posted on: 30.03.2010 by Matthew Yanagisawa While some of you can live the glamorous life of being a DJ and get the bills paid, some of us need to get up early and do the crappy stuff to make our employers richer. This makes me believe about some stuff...1) If you are doing gigs, how do you manage to get up early? You could maybe be caffeinated during work hours but this cant be done for too long. Specially if you sometimes have to work at home. 2) Djing is not a cheap "hobby". I have seen the "Show us your setup" post and I have seen a lot of pricey stuff with multiple computers and gadgets, dedicated rooms and what not. You must be rollin' in the dough! 3) With DJing and computers going hand in hand I believe maybe most of you with a day job should have something computer related. IT manager, Db administrator, Linux demigod etc... --- Me? IT System Admin. DJ practice/new music hunt is moderately compromised by extra workload I need to finish at home besides home/family duties. I wish I could take my VCI100/MPD32 to work but I managed to install a demo version of Traktor and Ableton very hidden on my work computer. Although the pay is good is not that I cant buy more gear but that I would not have the time to learn and configure properly more gadgetry. | |

Much easier to code / fix / debug. But hey ho, that isn't what the kids want these days. Don't even get me started on mobile / tablet dev work. That is on the cards for 2015 lol |

So I guess I'm getting there and in 3-4 years I should finally be out of the bar business (well I mean as a barmaid! I'd like to get a residency somewhere by the time I graduate!) |

Rolanda Clodfelder 29.01.2014 | I am an attorney of law to a deceased Immigrant property Magnate, who was based in the U.K, also referred to as my client. On the 25th of July 2000, my client, his wife, and their two Children died in the Air France concord plane crash bound for New York. They were on their way to a world cruise. Prior to that accident and since then, I have been managing Mr Schoeler's properties here in the U.K. I need help however to assist me in repatriating the money, and possibly ownership of some of the property left behind by my client; this is to prevent ownership of both reverting to the state. By U.K law, ownership of funds in current bank accounts unattended for six years will automatically revert back to her majesty's government treasury. However, the legal procedure to activate this takes about three months, of which there are just about two months left. My Late client's main Uk bank account is valued at fifteen million, five hundred thousand U.S dollars ($15.5m). Since I have been unsuccessful in locating any relatives of my late client in the last six years; and with the bank indicating that they now wish to shortly start the procedure of reversion of ownership of the funds to the state, I now seek your consent to present you as the next of kin of the deceased, so that the proceeds of this account can be paid to you. And then you in turn can send me my share of the money. The ratio for the sharing of the funds will be fifty per cent (50%) to me, forty per cent (40%) to you, and ten per cent (10%) for miscellaneous expenses that might arise. I have all the necessary information that will be used to back up any claim we may make.. P.S. I also represent Saudi Princes, Nigerian Businessmen, and other suspicious "Accident" Victims. |
