You'll have to assign it manually, so click add, and navigate to Channel 4 and the corresponding note.

The button should be Red and Flashing now.
hey beaubryte,

thanks for the detailed explanation.
however i am not getting this to work quite right yet.
i do the setting as described, but then that particular led constantly flashes without stop and regardless of the actual track end warning in the last 30 seconds. ive tried ticking "blend" but what that causes is even weirder: it has the led go on and off every ten seconds and then flashes at the end when the last 30 seconds are actually playing.

do you know what i am doing wrong?

i don't know if this helps anyone or not, but in Virtual DJ the bottom LEDs i was only able to get them to function via HEX which is:

HEX: 10,11,12,13
VALUE: 15-22 (i believe) is on and 23-29 (from memory) flashing

and w/vdj everything is actually a channel lower, so if you are sending it through midi trace to test the light functions:

send command: 93 10 22 to turn on, normally 83 10 22 would turn it off, but you actually have to use a lower value instead, so i used: 93 10 10 to turn led off.

hope this info helps others, i know its not a frequently used software here.... yet, hopefully vdj8 will release and get people into it.

cheers-

Hey all - so while the User manual is not yet complete, I don't want to leave you all hanging so I have decided to post what I have done so far.

This will still tell you everything you need to know about the MIDI functionality of the Spectra.

I am well aware there are plenty of formatting and graphical issues which need fixing, and I have yet to add the appendix, however I would really appreciate any feedback positive or negative!

PS - The ground lighting flashing and pulsing is still buggy, and the current firmware will not respond to velocity 127.

Note for Traktor users:

CH4 notes 16, 17, 18 & 19 means:

Output channel 4 notes D#0, E0, F#0, F0

Set midi range: Min 0 Max: 18-40

The led is White only.
Adolf Hit

@Secret Seven - They are controlled by notes on CH4 notes 16, 17, 18 & 19

A velocity between 18 & 33 gives 15 brightness levels
A velocity between 34 and 40 gives 8 different flash rates
A velocity of 127 will currently do nothing, this is a bug and will be fixed in the next firmware update so that it turns the LED on.

Ill release full documentation asap, I wanted to get them done this week but our Midi Fighter builder hurt his foot and had to take the week of so Ive been building midi fighters all week.

I don't know about the LEDs but you can add/connect your midi device to traktor and when you add a command press learn: try each button and traktor will say what it has received.
-it maybe takes a long time but then you got everything on paper -

The LEDs must be possible too but that I have never tried before.

I found this site where they sell them but I'm going to search how we can use it i'm curious )

Do you know if this is relative to what channel you have the Midifighter routed to from the utility tool? Or is it always channels 3 and 4 even if you have the midi fighter set to channel 6 or 7?

so i am wondering if you know how they got the multicolor flashing going on with the DeckGrat mapping for the spectra? I am also going to try to modify the DeckGrat mappings output colors for the cue pts mode.
