Thanks MoeHawk but thats how you TRIGGER the samples
what i am doing is trying to get a sample from Deck A into remix deck D
Its hard because its on the other side of the kontrol(er)

i figured out something lastevening and ill post it later when i get home

no prob. that shift+encorder turn makes it easy to use both decks with 1 F1. tho you wont be able to control anything playing on C if you move to D to fire samples but doesnt give you more samples to use at once.

found my problem
i had to FIRST set my F1 assigned to Deck D.
All the time it was set assigned as DECK C

i just tested it out and was able to drop 4 samples into the 1st slot. one below the next on Deck C as well as Deck D
all the while the sample was made in the Loop recorder.

Ok all worked out.... now i am a Loop recorder + F1 assignment + Sample loader master HAHAAHHAHAH

Thanks for the breakdown MoeHawk
it helped me see the step i was missing

I just did it no problem dude. S2 and a single F1.

1. Turn on F1
2. Shift+encoder over to deck D remix deck ( or start on deck d when f1 fires up)
3. press and HOLD Capture and turn encoder to select CA ( capture from A ) (holding capture allows you to pick where to get loops from CL will be loop recorder)
4. click capture and start capturing samples to deck D from Deck A.

viola!

my mistake on saying shift + capture thats a different option.

ah ha! I see now.

yes i linked the tutorial in my original post here (look above)
i see what you mean about F1 asking where it wants to capture from. Its scrolls through

cA = Capture from Deck A
cB = Capture from Deck B
cL = Capture from Loop Recorder.

however that just tells me how to tell it where to source the loop from.
My question above is..... how to you tell it where to LOAD it TO.

Just now i loaded a track into deck B
grabbed a bit with the loop recorder
told my F1 to source from the Loop recorder
used the Capture button to grab it from Recorder
and i pressed a button (top right on the F1 pad)
so i can try to load the loop into DECK D Remix Deck Slot 4, 1st row

however this did not happen

No matter what i do. Each time i record a loop, and tell F1 to grab it,
it always loads it into a slot on DECK C....... i cant get it to load into DECK D

but i believe i figured out what i needed while typing
ill return with an update in just a bit

i thought same at first. its just like select which deck you want.

hold capture and turn teh encoder and you get to pick where you pick a loop from. you get all 4 decks, and the loop recorder function. i believe mad zack or ean did a tut a bit ago on making remix packs quick with loop recorder. so just hold capture and turn and pick loop and u can make stuff fast, or pick each deck.
