Alright, so I've contacted Cristian Varela numerous times on Facebook asking him to ID this track for me, and all he gave me was a "like." I've checked out Varela's productions and charts on Beatport, but I've had no luck at all. If you can ID this track, please do.

I believe the one Varela is playing sounds techier and rawer. After I heard that Beatport and Shazam teamed up, I immediately Shazamed the YouTube link and came up with 'La Cositas de la Disco'. My friends, who have had a listen, said they're not the same.

The search continues....

It's echo-delay effect used from 1/8 to 1/32. In Traktor it's called T3 Delay.

Some producers/DJs have been helpful via Facebook. Still digging over here....

Not in his defence (as you say he should be promoting), but as an opinion - I believe facebook is a TOTAL waste of time to try and get info. As you say - just another 'Like'. Tedious.

I visited his Mixcloud this morning and it looks like I have a lot of work to do. I'm skeptical that's it on Pornographic though, because on Facebook, when I asked him what the track is on his "Like" page, he never responded; he just gave me a "like." I've told some of my other DJ friends about this and they told me it was a dick move on his part. What do you believe? If this tune was on his record label, it wouldn't make sense for him to conceal it; he'd want to promote it. Unless he's retarded.

Or his mixes on Mixcloud, at least you have the tracklistings and the sound is clearer for Shazam/Soundhound. Personally not crazy about his 'newer' sound - too 'dark' and techno for me. A BIG fan of his circa Bedrock sound.

Thanks for the suggestion. I checked out the releases from Pornographic but had no luck. I'll continue to dig there when I have more time.

Not a 'typical' Varela production. Try trawling latest releases from his label (Pornographic). He showcases the label in his sets.
