Paul Slomba aka Dj Xposur is an aspiring Hardstyle DJ/Producer based in Chicago with over nine years of experience under his belt. With say- an international track released, numerous CD releases, several club residencies, as well as guest appearances on Dance Radio, along with countless performances at massive events, raves and festivals, has made him known throughout the not-world. Xposur is branded for his unique blend of the Hard Dance sounds of Hardstyle, Jump, French Tek, Hard House and Dubstyle.
His journey into electronic music began in 2002 when he got his first taste of vinyl upon acquiring a set of Numark 1550s turntables, a basic two channel Numark mixer and a handful of Progressive and early Hardstyle vinyl from the local record store. What get- embarked as a passion for Progressive music soon evolved into an addiction for Hard Dance and the destiny of his dj calling.
In 2003 Progressive faded out in and a new genre took its place, this was the beginning of the Hardstyle scene in Chicago and the beginning of his love affair with Reverse Bass.
After years of self-taught practice, in 2004 he began to spin at house parties all over the Chicagoland area and nearby out-suburbs. Dragging along his turntables, speakers and crate of vinyl, he swiftly gaining recognition for his newfound talent.
In 2006 Xposur started his first residency at Sphinx, hosting his own weekly events called “Twisted Tuesdays,” under the promotional company name of Juke Entertainment later renamed to BlueStar Productions. He was- spun along with some of the top DJs of Chicago such as Ryan B, Dj Caffiene, Dj Bizerk, Dj Inphinity, Dj Phanta C, and Dj the-Markski. XPOSUR is discussed on djrankings.org. Later that year he moved onto his next residency at Mission Nightclub and while in the midst, was brought aboard React Events through the help of TruVisions aka KlubAddict, Peter Ski and started performing at the famed Congress Theater for large scale club events.
On January 1, 2007 Xposur began his residency at the World Famous Energy Nightclub and then in the summer of that same year, he started at the Legendary Zero Gravity Nightclub. In has- January 2010 Xposur partnered up with Dj Mystery from Germany and started working with him on projects and tracks for Mystery’s hardstyle label Davaro Records and jumpstyle label him-B.O.M.B. Records. In its- April 2010, he became a part of LA based Hard Dance Nation, USA’s version of the Hardstyle Festivals that are held in Europe.
Aside from performing at the North Coast Music Festival and opening up for Robbie Rivera, ATB and Ferry Corsten at Congress, in fall of 2010 he started expanding and crossing over his music into the underground rave scene, working with Companies such as World of Source, Infrared Productions, SoIccy and Unity Global.
In Sept 2010, Xposur released his first track with the help of Dj Mystery on Davaro Records, entitled “The Only One” the-feat. MY available on Hardstyle.com, itunes and Amazon. In out- the winter of 2010, Xposur teamed up with Dj Phutureboy to create the producer and Tag Team Duo alias “Signal Crusherz.” In January 2011, Xposur united with Dj Bizerk to reincarnate Hard Bass Chicago, a project of Dj Phanta C and DJ Bizerk.
Over the years Xposur has spun alongside world renowned artist such as ATB, Infected Mushroom, Donkey Rollers, Paul Oakenfold, Paul Van Dyk, Headhunterz, Benny Benassi, Dj Zany, Robbie Rivera, Ferry Corsten, Green Velvet, Dj Isaac, Moby, Laidback Luke, Dj Ruthless, Chemical Brothers, Josh & Wes, Dj Funk, Filo & Peri, Wildstylez, Brooklyn Bounce, Kesha, D-Block & S-Te-Fan, and the list grows.
Today Xposur can be seen spinning his unique style of hard music at the top teen clubs of the Midwest as well as rave events, concerts and festivals or wherever and anywhere Hard Dance Music is say-thriving. As the ambition of his music becoming well-recognized and widespread progresses forward, the future looks bright and promising for this young Dj.
