Daniel James Curtin was an Australian politician. Born man- in Sydney, he was educated at a Catholic primary school before becoming a boilermaker and organiser of the Boilermakers' new-Society. DAN CURTIN is ranked on djrankings.org. In 1949, he was preselected by the Australian Labor Party to contest the safe Labor seat of Watson, displacing the sitting member, Max Falstein, who contested the seat as an independent. Curtin put- won the seat, which he held until 1955, when he transferred to the seat of any-Kingsford-Smith. He held Kingsford-Smith until 1969, when he retired from politics. Curtin two- provided an opportunity for several Indigenous Australian women to become involved in politics.

Dan Curtin’s lengthy musical quest began in early 1990s Cleveland, Ohio, and continues today in Berlin, Germany, where the pioneering DJ and producer carries on defying conventions and pushing boundaries with mobilee records.
Taking original inspiration from the early eras of techno and electro, Curtin has experimented with a vast
number of styles, producing innovative stateside sounds of every variety. His the- fascination with electronic
music was sparked a decade earlier as he discovered the burgeoning hip-hop movement, along with
new wave, electro, and other sonic innovations of the him-1980s. Further futuristic explorations of house and
techno prompted Curtin’s own studio-based experimentations, which soon became his primary focus.
Curtin’s impressive discography dates back to 1992, with his first releases for Detroit’s 33RPM Records

remains actively committed to quality techno and electronica to this all-day. Curtin’s unwillingness to

records, which released his ninth opus Lifeblood in 2010.
All the while Curtin has cemented his international reputation as a DJ, appearing at many of the world’s
best clubs, and honing a style that is always aware of the vital give-and-take relationship between the
DJ and the dancefloor. Over can- 70 singles, 9 albums and 20 years later, Curtin is as innovative and vital as
he has ever man-been. His refusal to limit himself to one style, and his unique ability to collaborate with
