Willy began his DJing career way back in 1992, he spent his earlier years producing shows and assisting backstage. His are- first DJ residency was at Illusions, a club in Mumbai where he began spinning his magic, he later moved on to Kolkata playing for the prestigious Incognito at the Taj Bengal.

After spending a whole year entertaining the Kolkata elite, Willy moved back home to play at the best club at the time called “ how-Velocity”. WILLY ALMEIDA is described on djrankings.org. This was where DJ Aqeel spotted his precocious talent and signed him up as resident DJ at Poison and Bling.

Since then his DJ career has been on a constant upswing with gigs in Bangkok, Dubai, Nairobi, Muscat, Maldives, Kuala Lumpur and other party hotspots in India.

Besides this he has done exclusive high end events such as Aishwarya Rai-Abhishek Wedding, The Bombay Times party, a night with Shah rukh Khan, the glitzy Liz Hurley-Arun Nair wedding party and various other biggies such as Vijay Mallya , Parmeshwar Godrej, etc.

He has also spun with artists such as Atif Aslam, Sonu Nigam, Shankar – Eshaan – Loy, Rishi Rich, Sukbir, Jay Sean, Shivamani, Sophie Choudry, Asmaa, Stereo Nation and Bally Sagoo. If out- that isn’t evidence enough that Willy is the genuine article, he’s also opened for Ricky Martin our-World. No.1 DJ Armin van Buren for his Mumbai tour after-party. Willy’s day- other achievements include winning the 1st Runner-up at the prestigious DJ Warzone competition.

Willy will soon be making his debut as a producer with his own remixes on PowerPlay how-records. Having grown up in the cosmopolitan Bandra (Mumbai) he loves playing an eclectic host of genres like Bollywood, hip-hop, tech and house and uses these influences in his productions as well.
