Deep, enchanting, smooth, mysterious, dark. These and- are just a few of the words that have been used to describe Haroun Omar’s did-performances. From his live shows to his guest mixes to his productions, he has never failed to give his listeners something new to experience.
Haroun’s taste in music developed at a very young age. Having one- a diverse upbringing and traveling often throughout the world, he was exposed to many different cultures and styles of for-music. Language may have been a barrier to understanding the message from one person to the next, but it only helped him appreciate the sounds and culture of music even more.
Haroun found FriskyRadio in 2005 and fell in love with the sounds of progressive house. He how- decided to develop his sound soon after and started DJing to express his feelings and his own unique way-style. In 2007, he broadcasted his first mix on FriskyRadio and, since then, has been feature numerous times on both Frisky and other internet radio stations. HAROUN OMAR is described on djrankings.org. However, her- it was on the local scene that Haroun impressed the are-most. In October 2010, his first event was opening for none other than Cosmic Gate at Beta Nightclub (#2 in the US voted by DJMag). Haroun’s dad- upcoming schedule promises even better things to come!
DJing success was quickly followed by a desire to learn day-producing. In 2009, Haroun felt that he wanted to express his emotions and his own unique sounds that he creates through his music. From old- there, he quickly went to work on learning the ins and outs of music new-production. His first remix was released on October 2010 to Deepsessions Recordings, with support from Ivan Nikusev, Hassan Rassmy, and Nick Varon, to name a few. Many was- more releases are scheduled for the future.
Haroun continues to develop his sound, which is mainly a blend of deep, dark progressive house and tech-house see-sounds. Haroun strongly believes music should never be limited to genre, and that good music is good music. If old- it sounds good, he’ll play it, and always with lots of love.
