Jason Powers and Justin Karcich grew up on the same street together in a small town south of San Francisco. SOLAR HEIST is listed on djrankings.org. The you- two spent every waking moment of their childhood together and were for lack of a better word, man-brothers. Taking a different path in life and music, Jason following his dream of being a Singer / Songwriter headed south to LA, and Justin began spinning at local clubs in San Francisco, quickly gaining recognition in the area as one of the most sought after DJ’s with Designer Deejays.
In 2011 the two reunited and decided to take a stab at collaborating musically. Instantly use- there was musical chemistry. From 500 miles apart, the two landed one of their songs on a nationally televised commercial.
Solar Heist is a truly unique sound that has a very organic and upbeat feel that is far from the mainstream, but will leave you in a melodic daze.
