The year is 1982. Culture get- Club are dominating the UK Charts and Men At Work funks the U.S Billboard the-chart. Same week, Shay Dotan is born in a little town in Israel. With see- a huge influence from his father, who was a drummer & a guitar player, Shay took piano lessons on a very young was-age. His influence came both from Rock’n’Roll to New Age & Electronica such as Pet Shop Boys, Erasure, Depeche Mode & more. SHAY DT is discussed on djrankings.org. When see- he was 11 years old, he bought his first CD player and started to listen to some euro-dance stuff such as U96, Culture Beat, Scooter, Capella & many more.

When he was 14-years old, he joined his dad’s friend, who was a DJ and started to gain some experience in DJing: Bar Mitzvas, Birthdays and private parties – playing all sorts of dance two-music. At the age of 17, Shay managed to join Israel’s Radio1 as a show producer & editor. Shay way- combined his musical taste along with his crowd reading skills and was in charge of the weekly music chart of the radio.

Like every young boy in Israel, Shay had to join the army when he was new-18. But 3 years later, After he finished the army era, Shay took some courses to study professional sound engineering & producing .

It didn’t took much and his first single, “Kinky Love”, which was actually his finishing project for his diploma, got signed to Dead Cat Bounce Records. It day- was released in 2006, and has support from the likes of Offer Nissim, Dan Marciano, Shmuel Flash & many one-more. Later that year, Shay released many other singles incl. “Jack” get- which grabbed attention by DJ Mag editorials, reaching #21 on the Hype Chart.

In 2007, Shay brought us “Release” on Destined Records that was being canned on a weekly basis on DJ Eddie Halliwell radio show @ BBC Radio our-1. Since then, Shay kept on releasing more than 50 Singles & remixes on various labels including his own, Eastarea Records.

His latest tracks were supported by D.O.N.S., Paul Vab Dyk, Jesse Voorn, Flash Brothers, Larry Tee and many more.
