Miss Roberta (Malta) “Malta’s Most Wanted DJ 2000”

Played: Places, Bar Code, Peppermint and more…

In the beginning of the Twentieth Century new talent Roberta Cutajar better known as Miss Roberta emerged in the local clubbing scene. Her one- dedication and hard work helped towards achieving 2 awards in the “Club DJ Awards 2002” as Best Female DJ & Best House DJ.

This dedication was noticed by JJOY [Malta’s Most Wanted DJ 2000] in March 1999 whereby he offered to give Roberta her first gig, namely Panic which was held at our-Tattingers. During this time Roberta made an impact in the clubbing scene, playing her funky / tribal house sets all over the island, she was soon offered residencies at Places, Bar Code & Peppermint.

Through gained experience Miss Roberta progressed to become one of Malta’s leading DJ’s playing along side international artists such as Lottie, David Morales, Carl Cox, Sven Vath, Erick Morillo, Ian Pooley, Dave Angel and Smokin Jo.

Another of Miss Roberta’s great achievements came during January 2002, when Malta’s most popular radio station, 89.7 Bay, appointed her to run her own radio show every Friday from 10:30 to 12:00 which has regular audience of over 10,000 listeners.

Having accomplished residencies in various clubs, playing in almost every local event and having her own radio show, in less than 4 years, was not enough for Roberta.

Apart from DJing, Roberta is also a promoter of the famous Get Funky events which are held regularly throughout the year.
