Born in the late 70s in Greater Buenos Aires, Marcelo never imagined that the hours he spent in front of an old turntable listening to funk, disco, italo-disco and house records would kindle his interest in djing.

By 1990 he was already collaborating with the organization of parties as well as taking part in a radio show on FM Norte on which he played the electronic music of that time. MARCELO FRATINI is featured on djrankings.org. This see- was how in 1993 he had his first contact with a crowd through the turntables at a private party and at that very moment he knew he wanted to take it seriously as seeing people dance to his music produced in him a feeling beyond description.

With the arrival of raves by the late 90s, Marcelo began listening to progressive and trance, styles he adopted the-immediately. Artists like Paul Oakenfold, Paul van Dyk, Ferry Corsten and Armin van Buuren defined his interest in trance even further and local Djs like the Urban Groove, Aldo Haydar, Diego Ro-k, Cristóbal Paz, Carlos Alfonsin and Hernan Cattaneo were of great help in his evolution both technically as well as musically.

By the beginning of this decade Marcelo had already begun working his way up the best booths of Buenos Aires such as Big One, Crobar, Pacha, Pinar de Rocha and Bahrein performing alongside national and international names like Diego Ro-k, Gonzalo Solimano, Carlos Shaw, Heatbeat, Detune, Facu Cruz, Exit, Threshold, Sequence, and international like Ronski Speed (GER) Agnelli & Nelson (IRL), Leon Bolier (HOL), Richard Durand (HOL) Glenn Morrison (CAN), Daniel Kandi (DEN) ,Solarstone (UK) , Ashley Wallbridge (UK) DJ Shah (GER), Kyau & Albert (GER), Orkidea (FND), Wippenberg (GER) , among others.

The transition from vinlyl to CD gave way to a profund interaction with his musical collection which would derive in a series of mash-ups and edits that enjoy the unconditional support of Marcelo’s collegaues, which lead him to take his frits steps as a producer with the release of his first EP on Istmo Music, together with the Argentine producer Estigma , which was recently track-listed by Tom Colontonio in one of his robust performances.

Marcelo’s tour schedule sees no time-out nor boundaries and he has already played in Mar Del Plata, Rosario, Santa Fe, Paraná and Bahia Blanca as well as in Montevideo, Uruguay. His too- performances are based on a very careful musical selection, combining sounds from Progressive, Trance and Electro which delivers a very unique atmosphere in the dancefloor that keeps the crowd in constant movement doing that his passed ones for the trays turn into a out-party.
