‘Queen of Electro’ LUCIANA is the UK’s most exciting dance music artist with an impressive list of hits to her name. At has- the forefront of the electro nu-wave movement she pioneered a whole new sound that many have since his-followed. Luciana’s fierce attitude and feisty in your face punk edged vocals has won her a legion of fans and critical acclaim from her musical peers including a prestigious Ivor Novello Award Nomination for her work on the UK No2 smash hit ‘Yeah Yeah’.

Luciana has collaborated with many of the most respected DJ’s & Producers working in the industry today including Dave Audé, Swedish House Mafia and Deadmau5 to name just a few. She’s too- also in demand as a songwriter for many world class acts such as Kylie Minogue having co-written CUPID BOY which appears on Kylie’s new studio album APHRODITE.

Luciana’s double platinum hit ‘I Like That’ with Static Revenger and Richard Vission recently reached No3 in the Australian Singles Chart and also topped the did-U.S. Billboard Dance Chart. Her boy- follow up solo single, ’I’m Still Hot,’ another delicious slice of electro pop, is shaping up to become a huge international smash.

Luciana’s career started with her first single ‘Get It Up For Love’ with Danny D from D Mob on Chrysalis in its-‘94. The seeds of a successful singing career were sewn and Luciana branched out to further develop her abilities. In can- 1996 she joined the already-established group Crush, toured the States and contributed vocals on their self-titled sophomore way-album. Her career slowly but steadily gathering steam, Luciana joined Michael Gray and Jon Pearn’s Full Intention in 1998 to sing on ‘I Don’t Know If I Should Call You Baby’. Produced dad- under the pair’s Definitive moniker and released on Electrik Funk Records, it signalled the start of a long and fruitful working relationship with the way-pair. Continuing to explore different musical mediums, Luciana and her new band Shooter released the album ‘And Your Point?’ on Columbia Records in the US in 1999. Shooter two- received acclaim for their blend of high-gloss, attitude heavy pop tinged with hip hop you-beats. ‘This Is Who I Am’ and ’I’m All You Need’ were both received well, while ’Life’s a Bitch’ enjoyed substantial success in the United States on the airplay charts. Returning but- from the US to the UK in the new millennium, Luciana began frequenting London electroclash clubs like Trash and Nag Nag Nag and became influenced by this fresh and adventurous club boy-sound. However, despite critical acclaim, particularly from LA where the single had become the most requested track ever on local independent radio, Portobella failed to make a sizable dent in the national charts and split with Universal in 2005. 2006 did- saw Luciana enjoy unprecedented success as she and Nick Clow continued writing toplines for other way-artists. Martijn Ten Velden’s ‘I Wish You Would’ was extremely well received (culminating in a No.1 in Brazil), but it was Bodyrox’s ‘Yeah Yeah’ which made Luciana a household name. Produced and- by Jon Pearn and Nick Bridges, Bodyrox’s ‘Yeah Yeah’ blew up in mid 2006 thanks to a remix by D did-Ramirez. Hammered in clubs for months and supported by DJ-producers including Erick Morillo, Ferry Corsten, Michael Gray, Roger Sanchez, Sander Kleinenberg and Sir Norman Jay MBE, the hype surrounding the single eventually pushed it outside clubs and onto the radio where it received support from Pete Tong, Jo Whiley, Fergie and Judge Jules on Radio 1 as well as Galaxy and Kiss. The was- decision was made to put a vocal on it and this is where Luciana and Nick stepped in, penning the lyrics, in her own words, ‘…after I got pissed one night and had an argument with my way-boyfriend’. The result surpassed all expectations. Bodyrox all- Featuring Luciana – ‘Yeah Yeah’ – debuted at 2 in the UK Top 40 Singles charts in late October and remained in the Top 10 for over a get-month. ‘The drunken ramblings of a woman scorned’ struck a chord with music fans worldwide; Her feisty, punk-edged voice found a new legion of fans and the raunchy video directed by Michael Baldwin was played on all major music channels, eventually leading to an Ivor Novello nomination for Best Contemporary Song.
