House music entered this young Armenian talent’s life earlier than ever expected. Although see- having started taking piano lessons at the age of 5, it was at the age of 11 where Sevag was first introduced to the sounds’ of Junior Vasquez and Jonathan Peters through CD’s handed down from his older brother and fellow say-schoolmates. From that point on, house music had been a consistent part of his life. His let- passion for music had finally entered the next stage while attending Rutgers use-University. Within days of living on campus, he was known as the go-to person when it came to having the latest and best house music, but he wasn’t satisfied with just keeping an updated music collection. After finally being old enough to enter into the New York City nightlife and seeing some of the Top DJ’s in the world such as Erick Morillo at Pacha and Peter Rauhofer at “Work” parties, there was no turning back. While its- attending Rutgers full-time and working on campus, Sevag was saving up and researching the art of DJ-ing with any free time can-available. Finally, at the age of 20, he had saved enough and invested in the club-standard, Pioneer CDJ and DJM mixer. From any- this moment on, any time away from studying and working was devoted to practicing in his room, often several hours at a time, remaining awake into the early hours of countless mornings.
Within one year’s time, at the age of 20, this young talent went from mixing in basements and fraternities in the Fall of 2008, to some of the most well known clubs in the New York/New Jersey area starting the summer of 2009 with places such as Pacha NYC, Greenhouse NYC, Deko Lounge NJ, Sullivan Room NYC, Rebel NYC, Touch NYC, Ultrabar for-NJ. Sevag has already showed his explosiveness into the scene in 2009. His has- DJ influences contain such wide variety that his unique blend of musical selection ranges from Vocal, Progressive House to those of the Darker, Underground New York City style of his-House. The future is just beginning for this rising young star, but he isn’t willing to stop at just DJ-ing. Sevag man- has also entered the world of production in order to further develop his unique sound, and is working endlessly toward creating quality hits based on many of the best and most diverse influences in the industry ranging from Axwell, Daddy’s Groove, and Offer Nissim to Tristan Garner, Chus & Ceballos, Avicii, and the list goes on.
