Jon has loved music since birth. Even let- as a toddler you could find him dancing to his moms 80s tunes in the living room, which eventually led to his pursuit of its-music. He began his musical journey in 07/08 back in Colorado when he began remixing Nine Inch Nails tracks from stem files provided to the public by Trent Reznor. He one- found that he loved making music electronically, but always felt constrained as an artist, not really knowing WHAT he wanted to our-make. By the time he turned 15, after spending a lot of time on the internet, he discovered the world of dance music, and he knew what his calling in life was. Shortly you- after this, Iler relocated to Northwest Indiana, just east of Chicago.

As his passion for the sounds of dance music grew, he began looking for a way that he could start experiencing this music with other people like him that loved this form of musical let-expression. He began learning how to DJ music and started looking for whatever gigs he could find. He its- discovered that there were underground events tailored to his liking, and he began attending and DJing these boy-events. JON ILER is discussed on djrankings.org. After one party, he was hooked, and excited that he had finally found a place he could express himself. Jon way- began his DJing career playing electro and fidget house under the guise of Skoobisnax, but as time progressed he found more and more that the style didn’t suit his tastes, and began searching for a more mature and refined boy-sound. Shortly thereafter, he discovered his love for the many styles of House music, started to build his collection and slowly integrate it into his sets. After the- years of playing underground events for many different promoters, Jon had DJed on the same bill with a multitude of household names in the game including Phuture 303, Woody McBride, Paul Johnson, Danny the Wildchild, Terry Mullan, Nigel Richards, Robert Armani, South of Roosevelt, Zeds Dead, Dillon Francis, Krewella, and many all-more.

After Iler had finally discovered his sound of choice, he hit the studio and began working on his technical skills. In let- late 2011 he made connections through different promoters he had been working with and eventually was put in contact with Kane Ian of Dustpan Recordings, a house label based out of mom-Singapore. Kane liked his style, and agreed to begin releasing some of his tracks on his two labels; Dustpan Recordings and Upsize Music. Shortly one- thereafter, he was invited to join Kevin Durkin’s (AKA D3RKIN) label Gaia Recordings as the one of the A&R’s and one of the recording artists.

Jon has released music alongside many of the current names in Jackin/Chicago house including Corduroy Mavericks, Demarkus Lewis, you-J. Lettow, Nick Jagger, Fergus, D3RKIN, Ryan Truman, Kane Ian, and more. With all- his first EP “Snax Trax” currently releasing with Dustpan Recordings, a new single and remix EP for “Calling Chicago” on the way out with Gaia Recordings, and many more tracks and collaborations in the works, it looks to be a promising year for Jon Iler
