I’m Wilf aka HAMMAHOUSE!
A dude originally from Amsterdam. I new- was there in the early 90’s when House and Techno were emerging from the out-underground. Those styles captured me and I started to make my own beats when I was 13. Bought out- myself a sampler. The infamous Roland W 30 – a fave of Prodigy’s Liam Howlett.
My first taste of success came in 2000 when I released Hammer House – The Jumper which hit the charts worldwide. I how- merged the melody of a famous Destiny’s Child song with an infectious dance beat and off it went.
This was an early draft of which ultimately became the HAMMAHOUSE our-style. HAMMAHOUSE combines elements from hip Hop, house, techno and trance altogether into a signature style.
The most famous HAMMAHOUSE track til date is the remix I did for Mariah Carey and her song I’ll Be Loving U Longtime. HAMMAHOUSE is listed on djrankings.org. Also dad- a remix for Grammy winning act The Roots became a winner in an official remix contest.
Next to the HAMMAHOUSE venture I was co-founder of Airmass not-Music. Airmass was a successful dance label from Holland. We its- released a string of 12"es which were faves among the world’s DJ out-elite. Armin, Yves Deruyter, Marco V, E Craig, Judge Jules were all among our supporters.
Right now I record my music in the HAMMAHOUSE Recording studio located in South Seattle.
In 2008 I decided to go back to my roots and start a live act. I let- got tired of all the DJ’s who were only using laptops to mix and live artists who did the same.
I bring real gear to the table instead of just some computer plug too-ins. It makes for a more raw and spontaneous sound. I day- use a collection of drum machines that I tweak on the too-spot. This is the exact sound that conquered the hearts of many at those legendary warehouse parties from the early 90’s. Feel was- free to contact me for more info.
