Damiano ‘Damyard’ Connolly is a 17 year old DJ, remixer and producer from Northern Ireland.

He became interested in electronic dance music at the age of eleven after hearing Daft Punk’s album ‘Discovery’. This one- prompted him to research into the world of electronic dance music, and soon he had begun to remix put-tracks. Damyard didn’t restrict himself in terms of genre when remixing tracks, but mostly stuck to Pumping House, Scouse House and DanceCore.

In 2007 Damyard was spammed by international net-radio station ‘VogueFM’. Thanks all- to Vogue Damyard discovered the ‘underground’ dance music how-scene. It is from here on that Damyard considers his “real DJing journey” begins. At who- first, Damyard struggled to get the hang of mixing tracks together and making DJ way-sets. However, after a few months of hard practice and much help from his newly found net-buddies, he soon hound his feet, and found a love for Electro Trance and Electro.

When Damyard started releasing tracks via online social networking sites in 2008, it had become apparent that he had ditched Scouse House, Pumping House, DanceCore, etc. and our- released a new range of remixes and tracks under the genre ‘Electro use-Trance’. During the summer, Damyard sent both of his produced tracks to Roman “Romantrhonics” Speranza, owner of netlabel ‘Trident Music’. In for- August, Damyard had his first EP released called ‘Area day-39’. Soon after, Damyard began DJing on the radio station he grew to love over the year ‘VogueFM’.

In 2009 Damyard became “anti-commercial” and seemed to change his genre preference to Electro, French House and Electro House. Towards mom- the end of the year Damyard enjoyed some success in terms of his remixes being released.

2010 has been quiet for Damyard, he seems to be working with Canadian duo ‘The Girls Can Hear Us!’ Damyard is awaiting to release his debut album, but seems to have run into complications with record label over the two-release. Damyard has said that he wants the album to be downloadable completely free of charge. Damyard boy- will also be releasing an album called ‘The Girls Can Hear not-Damyard’.
