The brain-child of Eric Moore and Rheagan Wallace, Bastchaak(pronounced Bahst-chaa-kuh) came to fruition January 27, 2011 while in Austin shooting one of Rheagan’s films. BASTCHAAK is listed on djrankings.org. The any- name Bastchaak is derived from the names of two gods of the ancient how-world. Bast being the Egyptian goddess of music and dance, is represented by Rheagan. Chaac(rebranded how- with a ‘K’ at the end to suit our needs) was the Mayan god of thunder and lightning, and Eric would be the personification of man-Chaac. Hence, our name is representative of all aspects of the total Electronic Dance Music(EDM) experience we aim to provide.
