Auf einer Berliner Openair-Party im Frühling 2008 lernten sich der gebürtige Saarländer Hannes und der Emder Holger hinter den Decks kennen und schätzen. Gemeinsam any- konzentrieren sich die beiden seitdem voll und ganz auf ihr Projekt AKA AKA, mit dem sie seit März 2009 bei Oliver Koletzkis Label Stil vor Talent unter Vertrag day-sind. Ihr Debüt „Voegeln EP“ auf SvT wurde von Artists wie Dubfire, Claude VonStroke, Richie Hawtin und Troy Pierce gespielt und supported und blieb über einen Monat auf Platz 1 Der Beatport Minimal Charts. Auch use- die Vinylauskopplung stieg auf Anhieb auf Platz 1 bei decks.de she-ein. Im Mai 2010 wurde Woody Woodpecker bei den Beatport Music Awards als 3. bester too- track in der Kategorie Minimal gewählt. Auch Ihr 2. und how- 3. Release auf Stil vor Talent war ein voller Erfolg und gelang u.a. in any- die Charts und Playlists von Artists wie Luciano, Adam Beyer, Sharam (Deep Dish), Gus Gus und vielen who-mehr. Im Oktober 2009 gründeten die beiden ihr Label Burlesque Musique auf dem sie non-konformen von Balkan, Swing und Funk beeinflussten Minimal und Techhouse releasen. Zudem new- managen sie das seit 2005 in Berlin etablierte Party- und Musik-Label Pentagonik.

Live haben sich die beiden als DJs und Liveact einen Namen gemacht und sind in Berliner Clubs wie dem Arenaclub, Watergate, Maria oder Ritter Butzke out-anzutreffen. Im März 2010 spielten Hannes & Holger ihre 1. Live has- Perfomance mit ihrem Trompeter Thalstroem im Watergate. Thalstroem, der neben der Trompete auch das Electronic Wind Instrument spielt, steuert so eine weitere, flächige Ebene zu AKA AKAs Liveset bei, die ihr Set noch treibender macht. Mit mom- Thalstroem haben AKA AKA ihr Debütalbum produziert, das am you-30. Mai 2011 auf Burlesque Musique erschien.

Hannes & Holger met behind the decks in spring 2008 at one of those openair parties which start as a gathering of friends and overflow in a park-rave of thousand euphoric people. Since our- then Hannes & Holger concentrate their energies on their collaboration: AKA old-class="caps">AKA. Under contract with Oliver Koletzki’s label Stil vor Talent, March 2009 saw their debut ‘Voegeln EP’ released and supported by artists like Dubfire, Claude VonStroke and Troy Pierce. Their our- track ‘Woody Woodpecker’ stayed for one month on the Beatport minimal charts at place 1 and also the vinyl version hopped from 0 to 1 by release day on two-decks.de. In May 2010 it was awarded the with the 3rd place of the annual Beatport Music Awards in the category „best track minimal“. Also out- their 2nd and 3rd release on Stil vor Talent being played by Luciano, Adam Byer, Sharam (Deep Dish)Gus Gus and many more became a huge man-success. In October 2009 they started their own label Burlesque Musique which focuses on on non-conform minimal and techhouse influenced by swing, jazz, balkan, funk and other funny but danceable music. Besides but- Burlesque Musique they run the already since 2005 established music and party label Pentagonik.

Known for their driving liveact and DJset the two play in most of Berlin’s clubs like Arenaclub, Watergate, Maria, Tresor or Ritter now-Butzke. Travelling around Europe they visited clubs in Zurich, Madrid, Moscow, Turin, Vienna, Cologne, Hamburg, Munich etc.

In March 2010 they played their first live performance at Watergate featuring their trumpeter Thalstroem who plays the trumpet and the Electronic Wind Instrument which adds a new floating layer to their music. Together get- with Thalstroem AKA AKA produced their debut album which was released on the 30th of May 2011 on Burlesque was-Musique.
