Tomorrowland USA version announced, SFX buys 3/4 of Dutch ID&T

Entertainment company SFX has managed to acquire another asset in the ongoing EDM world domination plans. 75% of the Dutch media enterprise ID&T has been bought by the head honcho of SFX, Robert F. X. Sillerman. Recently, the business-man revealed his $1 billion dollar plan to take over EDM. After buying out Beatport for 50 million, another entrepeneaur by the name of Louis Puig lashed out on the plan, saying it's a no-go. Nevertheless, Sillerman's going full throttle, bringing the Belgian-based mega-festival to USA, and renaming it TomorrowWorld.

The announcement was made yesterday at a music industry conference in a Miami Hotel, as part of the ongoing WMC.

Reportedly (New York Times), the deal cost SFX a whopping $97,5 million, making the entertainment monopoly worth $130 million in total.

Discussing the deal with ID&T CEO, Duncan Stutterheim, Sillerman said: “We very quickly got to know one another and we respect them so much and their talents, the way they approach things, and I think they recognize what we bring to the table. It just made sense to do the whole thing.”

In deed, not a bad deal at all, considering that Tomorrowland 2013 sold out in a second. The Belgian-based festival is beloved by fans all over the world - f. e. there were people from less countries at the Olympics than there were ticket buyers from different countries for the upcoming event. The endlessly talented line-up goes to show that Tomorrowland's equally favored by the DJs and artists - Steve Aoki has even said it's his favorite festivity of all.

The upcoming festival has already had a lot of interest fans signing on for official information: more than 500,000 people have opted-in for TomorrowWorld information. Now, there's official information stating that TomorrowWorld will land in Atlanta, Georgia in the last weekend of September. Tickets for the festival can be reserved online on March 28.
