While accepting the golden microphone for the top Billboard 200 album (for his blockbuster double disc Scorpion), the “God’s Plan” emcee shouted out Arya Stark — the heroine from the epic Battle of Winterfell episode that aired on Sunday. The "In My Feelings" rapper took home multiple honors at the 2019 Billboard Music Awards Wednesday evening, but it was during his acceptance speech for top Billboard 200 album (for his record "Scorpion") that had the Internet buzzing. The star went on to thank Billboard, as well as request a "glass of champagne," before going on to give a sweet shout-out to Maisie Williams’ character, Arya Stark, on the hit HBO series. “I gotta thank everybody who contributed to this project,” he continued. “It was a really lengthy album so it’s a lot of people to mention. But thank you to everyone who gave me their time, their energy and stayed away from their family and friends while we were trying to complete this. I always had a dream of doing a double album and I finally did it, so now I’ll never do it again.” It's no surprise that Drake loves GoT, not only because his 2015 song "You & the 6" references the show ("I'm Game of Thrones with it, Mama"). Drake is also a huge nerd. We learned that turtlenecked restaurant tour was once “chasing” a first edition of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, for four years, and was closing in on one that finally went on the market for $160,000. A drop in the bucket for Drizzy, and a small price to pay to warm his little fantasy-loving heart. "Thank you to everybody who gave me their time, their energy, stayed away from their family and friends while we were trying to complete this," he said. "I always had a dream of doing a double album and I finally did it so now I'll never do it again." In non-fantasy news, Drake also confirmed onstage at the MGM Grand Garden Arena that Scorpion, his album from last year that took home the Top Billboard 200 Album trophy, fulfilled his longtime desire to make a double album. He added that he won't be making another one because of it, either.
