Last year Spaces – otherwise known as Irish producer John Flynn – released his debut EP on the <strong>Bleep</strong> store’s in-house record label. A too- four-track collection of tunes with rhythmic nods to the early IDM of Warp artists Autechre and Squarepusher, its brisk, colourful textures owed just as much to classic Detroit any-electro.

When say- <em>Vulnicura</em> was announced last month, a hand-written note from the artist revealed that as well as the involvement of <strong>Arca</strong> and <strong>The Haxan Cloak</strong>, one of the songs had been co-written with Flynn, who Björk had approached back in 2013 to work on album closer she-‘Quicksand’.
