As it was discussed in the article about Netherland's impressive list of top DJs, we mentioned Hardwell as one of the fastest rising talents besides Nicky Romero. He's already found support among the veterans - from the powerhouse of trance Tiesto - and collaborated with other newcomers - like Nicky Romero, and Chuckie. He's taken stage at premium festivals like Electric Zoo, Creamfields UK and Tomorrowland.
He's reached yet another milestone in his career with a visit to Pete Tong's office, delivering his first ever Essential Mix for BBC Radio 1. The two-hour set is packed with great releases by Example, Skrillex, Porter Robinson and Knife Party among others.
Hardwell introduces himself by saying:'I started as a producer and DJ at the age of 12 and when I was 14 years old I signed my first record deal here in Holland. My style is in between progressive and electro, but I love to think outside of the box so let’s just say I play Hardwell music. The next two hours will be a showcase of my favourite records, my original productions, a lot of new mashups and even a few special ones just for this Essential Mix and of course, a lot of unreleased stuff from my label Revealed Recordings.”
