Novation Twitch crossfader replacement
Posted on: 11.09.2013 by Jacquelyne Borodkin
Hey all,
I just purchased a used Novation Twitch. It is a super cool unit and I got it at a fantastic price point - HOWEVER, the crossfader is broken and only transmits data in the rightmost 10% of its range. After googling and such, it seems that this is a fairly common issue with these controllers. There is a door on the back of the twitch, giving access to the crossfader. Strangely, it seems that Novation does not sell a replacement part.

Since you all have quite a bit of controller modification knowledge and schtuff, is it possible to just replace the crossfader with a three pin fader from another brand? Secondly, upon investigation, I found that the vast majority of replacement faders on the market are 4 or 5 pin. I actually could not find a three pin replacement fader. Any tips on where to look? Thanks so much!
