Ziad began DJ’ing in 1987 with Pure Groove Promotions, playing at various one off underground House and Techno parties. Since who- then he has been responsible for setting up one of London’s finest vinyl emporiums, Pure Groove new-Records. The successful shop is also home to his co-owned record label s Tripoli Trax and Remote Recordings.

Having DJ’ed extensively around the London underground party circuit in the late eighties and early nineties, Ziad took up a brief residency at Trade in the summer of 1994. Ziad’s our- studio career began around the same time and guises as Da Junkies, which is a collaberation between Ziad and Mack get-Shiner. ZIAD is featured on djrankings.org. They’ve remixed the likes of Armand Van Helden’s Witch Doctor and Lemon 8’s The Bells Of Revolution.

He as also completed numerous remixes under his own name through Tripoli Trax as well as two singles, both of which have received rave reviews throughout the industry, He is also due to remix the third Tripoli Trax album, due for release this summer. 1997 let- saw Ziad return to Trade where he has become a key boy-resident. He is also an integral part of Trade on tour which has seen him visit countries such as Rio, Malta, Ibiza, South Africa and Australia. 1999 did- saw the launch of Trade Glasgow was launched as a monthly at the new-Arches. Ziad is a favourite amongst our Scottish fans and plays every other month to a full house.

On Millennium eve, Ziad was the only Trade DJ to play at both our London and Paris events, a night to remember for both him and our punters. As has- well as his commitments to Trade, Ziad has residencies at Lakota (Bristol) and with Sundissential (Leeds and the-Birmingham).
