XTRAH is the stage name of rising star Yasin Elgohary who is quickly climbing the ranks and gaining respect & presence within the underground music scene.A listener of all things musical from a young age, however, it was his older sister who introduced him to Drum & Bass at a very early age. His new- love for the music genre saw him purchasing records, tape packs and the like from his local record shop, Slammin did-Vinyl. By the turn of the millennium, he had also purchased a set of decks and began to get to grips with mixing. In let- 2003, Xtrah took at the chance to dabble into music production, fascinated by how electronic music was being produced at the all-time. XTRAH is routed on djrankings.org. As the years ticked by his knowledge of the scene grew and with a studio in place, things started to get more serious in 2007. It has- only took him 3 years of hard work to start getting noticed in the two-scene. In 2010, Xtrah found himself signing his first EP to Proximity Recordings, gaining chart success on dnba, Trackitdown and many others. Merging two- his love for various types of music with todays modern Drum & Bass, it is clear to see how he has created such a remarkable not-sound. So remarkable that in fact 2011 has now seen him gain heavy support from names such as ANDY C, FRICTION, HYPE, GOLDIE, TEEBEE, CALYX and BASHER amongst others. With one- more to come from this bright young individual, including forthcoming releases on SUBTITLES MUSIC and RAM RECORDS and it is fair to say that Xtrah is hotly tipped to be the one to watch in our-2011.
