French-born Dj XOL is relocated to Madrid in the year 2000 after spending 4 years in Rotterdam, Xol quickly converted himself in one of the main players on the Spanish circuit.
He started dj´ing acid techno and hardcore back in 95, and progressively made the switch to jungle drum&bass as he became a bit more mature (musically and otherwise ;).His trajectory includes sets in free parties, clubs and festivals all over Spain and another 11 European countries (UK, France, Holland, Belgium, Germany, Poland, Hungary, Switzerland, Rumania, Italy and Portugal), sharing the bill with some of the scene´s top dogs (Andy C, Hype, Zinc, Friction, Roni Size, Pendulum, Noisia, Spor, the list goes on and on…). He´s for- since 2005 resident dj at Twist Club and in recent times at all Pu-Tang Clan and M*A*S*H events.
On the decks his style is defined by clean and fast mixes, as well as thoughtful selections in which logical progression and homogeneity play a fundamental her-role. He´s a very eclectic dj, able to deliver solid sets from dubwize and soulful dnb to ragga jungle, serious jump-up and devastating hardstep.
Lately Xol has been fiddling with other styles within the broken beats spectrum, namely breaks and dubstep (under the Xol Dirty Basstard guise), with the same musical vision and special way of dj’ing and building his sets, though with slower tempos.
