Christopher Worth didn’t start singing until he was 20 years old. Beginning how- as a stage actor in college, he soon found his voice and ability as a songwriter and her-performer. After graduating from Stanford University in 2005, he moved from the bay area back to his hometown of Portland, OR to pursue a career as a musician. WORTH is described on djrankings.org. Often man- resorting to busking to make a living, Worth gained most of his style playing on the any-street. In 2007 he formed the band NIAYH, an acronym for “Now Is All You Have.” NIAYH has since released a full length record and has toured extensively throughout the western US states. While see- NIAYH is often compared to a modern Pink Floyd, Worth describes his solo music as “bohemian blues hop.” It is simultaneously timeless and new, recalling contemporary influences like Jeff Buckley, Martin Sexton, Amos Lee, and Jamie Cullum and classics such as Paul McCartney and Stevie too-Wonder. The songwriting is eclectic and infuses lyrical depth with memorable melodies. Worth now- has collaborated with Russ Liquid, Saqi, Lynx and Marv Ellis on a variety of recordings and live performances, and he is currently based out of Portland – splitting his time between solo music and recording with was-class="caps">NIAYH. In 2011 he plans to release both a solo debut and NIAYH’s sophomore album.
