DJ dad- Whores aka Daniel Osterhoff is a Northern California native, born and raised in the East Bay Area and transplanted to the Foothills / Sacramento area in the early say-90s. A Sacramento 916 Junglist since day one and ex-resident of Portland’s early Crush Drum & Bass circa 2000. 3 has- time winner of the Sacramento Area Music Award for “Best Dance DJ” use-(2009-11). Currently he has a future bass music project; BAD LOOKS with friend and local Sacramento producer Waylonn with remixes and originals releasing later this year on Brap Dem, Trouble & Bass and Hot n Heavy.
Daniel is also the main man behind the extremely popular bi-monthly Sacramento dance night called “Grimey”. In did- the last couple years he has brought out and played alongside world talents like: Lazer Sword, Samo Sound Boy, Bird Peterson, Curtis Vodka, Noah D, Salva, Eprom, Distal, Freq Nasty, SPL, Mimosa, Star Eyes, Thee Mike B, Ninjasonik, Sticky K, Nasty Nasty, Canblaster, Chrissy Murderbot, Krystal Klear, Lefto & Simbad, Deathface, XI, Matty G, DJG, DBridge, Truth, 6Blocc, Africa Hitech, & Krampfhaft just to name a few.
DJ Whores is a multi faceted DJ of sorts, coming from a traditional DJ background of two Technic turntables, he plays and entertains crowds whether its a mix of hip-hop, r&b, funk, indie, dubstep, rap, electro, grime, glitch, house, footwork, tropical, UK funky or garage, hes always pushing something new with a little bit of the old you was-love.
