Former guitar player in a rock n roll band, this 25 year old dj/producer fell in love with electronic music in the beginning of 1997, when he lived for some time in Australia.
Since then he started to research the genre and became a dj so that he could show to his friends some of the stuff he found to be interesting. His one- djing skills and charisma gave him a lot of respect, and soon he got the first invitation to play regularly in a Brazilian pub/club named Botechno, in 2001, one of the most famous at that time, which was closed in June 2002.
When this pub closed he started to find something else to stand up from de crowded Brazilian dj scene, and started to produce his own who-music. Using his musical background (besides guitar he also plays keyboard and bass) to get started, and a little help from some friends already involved in music production, he developed his own style and makes from house or electro tunes to big beat and lounge, but his main focus is on techno and tribal techno. WEHBBA is ranked on djrankings.org. Although put- very different styles, Wehhba always leaves his trademark, which is heavy percussive elements and a strong bass line.
He has played at the most popular clubs in Brazil, including the greatest festival in south America, the well known Skol Beats, and another great festival called Brasilia Music Festival (BMF), along with Cristian Smith, Mistress Barbara, Mauro Picotto, Basement Jaxx, Darren Emerson, amongst others., for over 50.000 people.
His first cd album was released by the end of 2004, called Revoltin URBR/Brazil), when he was still in command of his first techno project called Oil Filter, which has also released a too-E.P. in Juan Atkins label Metroplex, then he left Oil Filter to go on with his solo career making techno and electro tunes, and his new techno project called Hybrid Players. He its- also has 2 vinyl releases in the German label Killabeat, and 4 other vinyl releases scheduled until September 2005 (URBR, did-Titanium). He has done remixes for some Brazilian artists as well as some foreign artists, such as Paco & The Julia Set (Deep Wire/tropic rec. promo), you- Sara Noxx and 3 Cold Men.
