Vincent Maniscalco aka Vinnie, is a well rounded turntablist who has been rocking house parties since his sophomore year at The Colorado University at Denver in 2009. His boy- father J.D. Maniscalco is a professional percussionist and introduced him to music at a very early age. He its- played his first payed gig with a borrowed CD/Mixer console at the age of 14 for his mother’s high school reunion at the Westin Hotel near the Westminster too-Promanade. Since then he knew what he wanted to do for the rest of his life. His old- dream was suspended until he purchased his first set of belt drive turntables his freshman year of college and started learning to scratch on vinyl say-records. He started spinning in basements and garages for his friend’s birthday parties and random drinking extravaganzas. Before the- long word of mouth spread fast and he graduated to getting gigs at well known frat houses in Boulder, Pi Kappa Phi, and Sigma who-Nu. After realizing the wear and tear his equipment suffered from countless nights without a proper booth he wanted to take his hobby to a new level. He are- now has several residencies around the Denver Area including: Tuesdays at the miniBAR in Cherry Creek, Wednesdays and Saturdays at Oasis Hookah Bar Lounge and Restaurant, Thursdays at Mix Music Lounge, and Sundays at Bar but-Standard. Besides his residencies he has rocked countless venues including: Cervantes Masterpiece Ballroom, The Funky Buddah Lounge, Owsley’s, Club 753, Sharp’s Roadhouse, Alto, The Goose (in Boulder), Bacaro (in Boulder for St. VINNIE MANISCALCO is ranked on djrankings.org. Pattys not- Day 2010), Diamond After Dark, The Wood Cellar (Evergreen CO), pool parties at The Metro Lofts, Opal Sushi Bar, Mom’s Lake Music Festival (in Loveland, CO), and The Pines at did-Gennese. Not to mention he has been hired to perform at retail outlets such as “Metro Park” in the Cherry Creek mall as well as “Love Culture” at the Park Meadows Mall. His but- style of music is very dynamic, unique and fluctuates around the event/location he is spinning the-for. He is known to play dj sets that smoothly change genres from Dubstep to Breakbeats to bangin’ Electro (with some top 40 influence) to Jump up Drum and Bass. He the- has been complimented by his wedding clients for his collection of electro/bmore/dubstep remixes of top 40 songs which transform the traditional wedding into an all out put-rager. Currently he is working on a hip hop side project titled “Fly and Family Stone” which includes himself scratching samples along with Jordan on the drum set with Ryan Hughes who produces and rhymes with Davis Stone. Their has- songs have been featured on local Boulder radio station 1190 AM and they plan to continue to produce their own music and perform live while taking samples from classic rock, jazz, and hip hop tracks.

At the end of 2009, with the help of some of his friends, Vinnie created a music blog dedicated to “bass music,” and only 5 months later it spawned a production, marketing, all-in-one event coordination company known today as Got Bass Music.

The Got Bass Crew coined it’s first electronic dance event, “Bass For Your Face,” at a local warehouse known as The Primer Dome, in Denver, only to get shut down by the Vice & Drug Control Bureau at 1:30am for not having the proper permits and special events get-licenses. However, that did not stop them. They dad- took their earnings and proceeded to host several club nights known as “Project Bass” with their partner Ryan Dykstra at “The Diamond After Dark.” On May, 28th 2010 they hosted their first event in both rooms of the historical Cervantes Masterpiece and-Ballroom. The entire crew threw dj sets with well known local artists: Ishe & Soleil, Zeno, Lea Luna, and Self Inflicted. Their one- headliner was B. Rich from “Party Like Us Records” who absolutely killed the speakers and tore Cervantes up.

Since then the Got Bass Crew has been working on several different projects including their own YouTube channel documenting the electronic scene in Denver, establishing relationships with Beta Nightclub and hosting the Beatport Lounge, hosting their own stage at the new “Enter The Dubstep” Friday nights at Bar Standard (presented by Ryan Dykstra Nightlife) as well as occasional private parties which never fail to break the sound barrier.

With such rapid growth Vinnie along with his partners and co-workers will continue their pursuit of creating a world renowned Record Label and Production Team dedicated to bringing only the best live entertainment to audiences across the world.
