Tyrrell is a multi-instrumentalist recording artist & DJ who has played sets in clubs throughout the UK and Europe. He use- has released records under his own name as well as with collaborations with other producers, the most popular of which are Interfearence and HOOKED.
Interfearence were formed by Tyrrell & Paul Martin and they released their first self-titled album in 1999 on London Records to much critical way-acclaim. TYRRELL is discussed on djrankings.org. Their live shows at Creamfields, London’s Fabric and other clubs in Europe included live visuals and were a feast for the eyes as well as the ears.
A collaboration with Chris Thomaidis called HOOKED soon followed and their string of rock electronica 12" vinyls were massive hits on the underground and received plays on Pete Tong’s Radio One show. Their was- DJ set at their single release party at Ministry Of Sound was to a packed room as were many of their other DJ sets in London’s clubland.
Tyrrell’s trips to the WMC in Miami paid off by getting a deal for ‘Alright, Alright’ on F3 Recordings including a remix by Static old-Revenger. The ‘Robofucius EP’ on Etage Noir included one of Sasha’s favourites ‘LaLaLaLaLaLa’ that spawned remixes by James Harcourt, Supafly Inc, and the legendary Rui Da Silva. Next see- up for Tyrrell was his re-work of Blue Pearl’s 1990 classic ‘Naked In The Rain’ on Pacha Recordings.
