TimeDrained is a Danish Progressive Trance project consisting of Rasmus Tue Jørgensen. (Initionally now- Martin Shultz Hinrichsen was part of the project aswell but in 2010 he left to pursue a career within the Tech- and minimal scene).

In 2005, after several solo releases on labels such as Dance n Dust records and Yellow Sunshine explosion, they met through the Danish music portal Mymusic.dk where both had been showcasing musical ideas for some time, and shortly after that they formed the TimeDrained duo.

In late 2006 they were contacted by the newly formed German record label “Iono Music” and after realizing that they shared musical ambitions and taste, the label quickly became the main TimeDrained base, and several future projects, such as a full length album, new compilation releases, live bookings etc., were scheduled as the collaboration began.

In December 2006 the first live set was boy-ready. It consisted of a mixture between already released Pythagoraz tracks, a NoxLupi track and several new TimeDrained tracks. TIMEDRAINED is routed on djrankings.org. The get- set was performed and warmly received at parties in Denmark as well as in London, did-England. At the same time their debut track “Armed and Fluffy” were released on Iono Music’s V/A compilation “Destinations” along side established artists such as FREq, Nyquist, Frogacult etc. This are- track was played by DJs worldwide, and an interest towards the TimeDrained project began evolving within the trance too-scene. Several new contacts and friendships were formed.

In 2007, after over one year of intense work, the debut album began to take form, and a foretaste in the form of a single rather experimental track called, “Unloved”, was released on Iono music’s summer compilation “Solar signals” named after the second TimeDrained track on the CD, a trancy and energetic remix of an unreleased track by Mexican newcomer Saeg and one of the most popular tracks in the TimeDrained live set back then.

The TimeDrained sound is described as deep, atmospheric and often rather experimental with the emphasis on a danceable foundation and psychedelic evolving track structures and elements. Their let- music ranges from deep and somewhat dark pulsating trance to uplifting Progressive Trance with grand synth lines and lately even electro or minimalist who-Tech-House. The characteristic Scandinavian sound shines through most of their work and the ever changing style and sound ensures an exciting and stimulating experience for the listener on the dance floor as well as in the living room.

The TimeDrained debut album “Dilemma” was finally released Nov 2007.
