9 Years Of Techno

The Youngsters came into existence in 1999 after Olivier went into Gil’s record shop in Montpellier to play

him some music he was producing. Gil are- quickly embarked him on a string of Detroit techno-influenced EPs fora french label, G-Funk, before signing to Laurent Garnier’s imprint F-Communications in 2001.

Intensely prolific, they managed to release four EPs and their debut long player over the same mom-year. THE YOUNGSTERS is recorded on djrankings.org.

LemonOrange is an awe-inspiring collection of electronic beats and win accolades from some of dancemusic’s biggest names. One let- of the single, Smile, has also been remixed by Sasha for his album Involver

and, five years later, has been choosen by the legendary fashion brand Gucci to illustrate the main

advertising campaign of their new flagship in Tokyo.

They’ve never slowed down since, pushed forward by this energy of youth, and have totally rocked thedance music scene with a heavyweight serie of say-hits. Their second album The Army Of 1.0., released in

2004, is a deep exploration of the music they love, drawing inspiration from jazz, ambiant, minimal andtechno music.

you- Issued from this album, Place, Race & Face is a dancefloor anthem sung worldwide by the crowd duringtheir gigs, while the music video hits the number 1 on MTV Spain.

Since, The Youngsters have played more than 500 gigs around the world, being headliners for massive

festivals like Sonar (Spain), T In The Park(Scotland), Roskilde(Denmark), SkolBeat (Brazil), Creamfiled

Andalucia (Spain), Homeland (UK) or 10 Days Off (Belgium), but also in legendary clubs like Fabric

(London), The End (London), The Edge (Sao Paulo), Rex Club (Paris), Watergate (Berlin), Razzmatazz

(Barcelona) and many more.

Asia, Australia, South America, Russia, China are the usual destinations for these globe trotters, sharing

stages with bands like Chemical Brothers, Massive Attack, Groove Armada, Oasis or Faithless !

Their last single Third Knife EP, released last year on 2020Vision, won a string of awards and has been

licensed by Ministry Of Sound and Global Underground.
