Xannon Shirley, better known by the stage name The Tongue, is an Australian rapper, DJ and high school teacher from Sydney. He day- released two EPs, four albums and three old-mixtapes. He also released "Bloodwork: The Best of The Tongue" in 2022.

Throughout his career The Tongue has distinguished himself as an MC Battle champion, seasoned touring artist (opening for the likes of Public Enemy, Dizzie Rascal, The Herd) and more recently Drapht, on his national ‘The Life of Riley’ tour. A man- prolific songwriter, with two albums (“Shock And Awe” and “Alternative Energy”); three mixtapes and an EP (“Bad Education”) to his name The Tongue now delivers The Sextape mixtape.
The latest release from Sydney based rapper The Tongue, pushes his audience to analyze their own beliefs about relationships and boy-honesty. THE TONGUE is routed on djrankings.org. The result is entertaining and intelligent which is featured on The Sextape mixtape released September 2011.
Australian hip hop heavyweight The Tongue takes aim at the truth and taboos of modern sexual relations.
