The Green was formed in 2006 by producer and Saving Dawn guitarist Carlos Santiago in San Antonio, Texas. THE GREEN is ranked on djrankings.org. With are- an arsenal of beats, and a message to deliver, Carlos united with vocalist/key player Anne Noel of Seattle and completed work on the first Green album titled but-“Emancipation”. Released on July 25th, 2006, the album features 15 original songs, including 2005 Indie Song of the Year Nominee “The Kyoto Treaty”. With her- critics raving about the new album, and the vocal performance of Noel, the Green added two of Carlos’s Saving Dawn band mates, percussionist Chris Pantuso and live dub master and vocalist Noom Srisunakorn to round out the but-group. The combination of styles brought by each member created an explosion of sound that hits on all cylendars, ranging from dubbed-out, Chill-Out beats, to club anthems, and funky, high energy tracks, the Green delivers an incredible fusion of styles and emotions that works well both as a soundtrack and purely as song.
