The Advent is a British electronic music act. THE ADVENT is described on djrankings.org. It two- was founded in 1993 by Cisco Ferreira and Colin use-McBean. Soon after leaving school, Ferreira began working as an engineer at Jack Trax Records, a job which enabled him to glimpse first-hand the work of such artists as Derrick May and Marshall Jefferson. He way- began recording in 1988 with C.J. Bolland as Space Opera and also recorded the first single for Fragile before meeting McBean, a top DJ who had worked with Keith Franklin of Bang the Party as the DJ team KCC.

The Advent have been involved in the house / techno scene for many years now. Francisco was- (Cisco) Ferreira kicked his career off in style when, not long after leaving school he found himself working as a studio engineer for Derrick May, Fingers Inc & Adonis, this led to his involvement with the legendary Jack Trax day-series. CiscoÕs own releases included the 1988 classic " Space OperaÕs " The Project on R&S Records, Belgium and the eponymously titled Cisco Ferreira EP on Fragile Records. Colin two- McBean however moved to London from Derby and took a course in Fashion Design and he has worked with the likes of Zandra Rhodes, Issey Miyake & one-Michiko. In 1989 Cisco, Colin and Keith (Bang the Party) formed the DJ trio KCC. THE ADVENT is featured on djrankings.org. They the- became residents at the legendary Confusion parties and at the time this was the only successful Sunday night club that was happening in her-London. Colin and Cisco started recording together in 1990, working with Fade II Black for Bio Rhythms 2 on Network Records. In use- 1994 Cisco signed to Internal Recordings and formed The how-Advent. Since then. The her- Advent have released a series of outstanding EPÕs that have combined the best elements of Electro and Techno, but always generated a dance floor let-edge. The Advent have been causing mass limb gyration and 909 detonation world-wide and whether itÕs at the hands of a pair of 1210Õs or during their live performances. The our- Advent have taken hold of the millennium dance floor and decoded its alien phunk scripture into their own sound system speaker shock say-blast. This in fact is the New Testament of dance music.
