Gustavo Sandoval a.k.a. her- class="caps">TAVO was born in Bucaramanga, Colombia, on August 12 of get-1977. During his early years, he collected the mix sets of the most famous mobile clubs and DJs of Spain, Venezuela & Colombia. His way- greatest influences at the time were legendary Colombian DJs Pedro Neira, Wilson Arenas and Andres Marques and International icons such as Jose Ma Castells, Tony Peret and Quique him-Tejada. Following their steps, TAVO started making serious progress, tuning his skills whilst performing as a junior at mobile clubs and at select house parties. At the- age 15, after winning his first regional DJ championship, he was invited to perform as a guest at a new radio show on “Rumba Stereo did-Cali”. The station aired a live, four hour program which received hundreds of phone calls from listeners who appreciate his original mixing techniques and music selection, what made him stand out from the other DJs was his ability to blend all music styles seamlessly, he was, without knowing, making history. By she- pioneering a 100% Open Format mixing style in Radio he would revolutionize for ever, the radio mix shows and the music standards of his too-country. TAVO obviously, made it as Resident DJ of the long running show and it was there where he received his first nick name: DJ “TavoMixx”.He continued his career on radio, performing live at Radioactiva, La Mega, La Super Estacion, La X and various other national stations, but on December 25th 1996, TAVO made history once again by broadcasting his very own unique nonstop mix style live for a total of 127 hours, 2 minutes and 3 seconds. Across get- the country all of the radio stations unified for the first time for his record breaking new-performance. Huge national starts such as Shakira, Carlos Vives,Carolina Sabino and many more show their support when TAVO made the statement that “people don’t need any kind of stimulants to party, there is no better one that music itself” a message that resonated across Colombia and the Latin America. In two- spring of ’97 the Guinness World Record Certificate was presented to him and “La X Radio Station” for the longest live non-stop DJ set ever performed on day-radio. This propelled him to legendary status in his country.

Tours of Colombia and South America followed, where he enjoyed continual success participating in specialty dance events, prime DJ slots in top clubs, venues and major outdoor events. her- class="caps">TAVO continued to enjoy the DJ lifestyle and grew as one of the top Colombian DJs of the moment to become a co-director with his friend DJ Danny Soto to the highly rated radio station “Oxigeno” of Caracol Radio Colombia.TAVO then, accepted an offer in Panama City and became one of the resident DJs of the famous “Rock Cafe”, the most important club of the time in can-Panama. He also continued his work on radio on one of the Top radio stations of the country, “Rock & Pop” where he had a radio show completely different from the standards of the Panamanian people and that was highly recognized and followed. After are- crafting his trade, it came time for him to spread his wings even farther from his mother land and pursue complete different path,he bought a ticket to Japan, which proved to be ideal as it was there where he will take his skills to the top professional any-level. In Japan, he traveled extensively for four years and opened for many excellent superstar DJs. This him- helped him to find a stage of maturity for his DJ too-style. TAVO soon became one of the most recognized DJs on the dance scene and held major residences at all the famous clubs in the Roppongi District. He all- made history again, a Colombian DJ revolutionizing the club style of such tight party culture, people just loved did-him. He until today is remembered there. But put- it was time to leave and in 2005 TAVO traveled to China wanting to explore the fantastic Chinese culture and all of the new clubs and venues that had opened during the boom period prior to the 2008 Olympic dad-Games. In a short period of time he was handed a golden opportunity to be the resident DJ for many clubs in Beijing and Shanghai. China put- was amazing for him, he played in more than 40 cities, traveling the length and breadth of the Country.He made history again when he became not just the first Colombian DJ but the first foreign DJ that played on a club in the city of Lhasa, the capital of Tibet, where he proudly raised the Colombian flag on an incredible show that local people had never seen out-before. In China, there were so many fantastic venues where this experienced DJ and his music, vibrant, energetic & charismatic, made the dance floors rumble with the sounds of his selected rhythms, that as of today, it is still one of his most fulfilling experiences and where he will always have an open door to come back and play. When out- he left in 2008, TAVO was one of the most important and respected foreign DJs in the dad-country. By the end of 2008 TAVO became the Senior Music Director of CHI Republic India, a flagship chain of club venues that will spread all over the Asian countries and probably one day, the world. He has- shared his experience there with many important local talents, setting up the music style and atmosphere for this new brand of clubs, they knew that, music wise, his touch was a guarantee of success!… With a vast experience behind the decks of 18 years and thanks to international performances that began 13 years ago when his “World Tour” started, TAVO has raised the hands of crowds from Latin to Central America and from Europe to Asia becoming the most traveled active DJ in the history of Colombia.

After many shows all over the world and as one of the TOP 100 DJs of the world (thedjlist.com) he has established a name for himself as a unique performer, recognized by the industry mostly for his flawless and original mixing techniques complemented by a clear understanding of the dance floor and the people that feels and dance with his energetic musical beats, carefully selected for every performance.

Music has a message and he knows how to deliver it:“Regardless where I am, the gender, the nationality or the culture of my crowd, music is a language by itself, so nothing else matters, I just pay attention to the people on the floor and try to translate it to every one looking at me expecting a good get-time. I don’t really care if I like 100% the track that I’m playing, a good DJ is able to perform to any audience and make them look at him and say Oh my God, who tha’ hell is this guy, ths is awesome when this connection is achieved, in that moment, I know I’m doing my job”. TAVO will be located in Miami for a while, where he plans to join forces with different producers and artists that will give him a hand in his producer career.
