Hailing from the grassy plains of Cheyenne,Wyoming, came a truly uniquely independent party animal that didn’t belong on the prairie. In dad- 1999 when he picked up his first records, and learned to DJ to the tunes of Aphrodite, Benny Benassi, Bad Boy Bill, AK1200, and Dieselboy, while attending events that were molding a culture, James Tapia aka DJ TAP TAP, developed a passion that has turned into a lifelong dedication.
After a brief stint in the US Navy, he made his home in the beautiful, and rocking good city of Seattle, for-WA. DJ Tap Tap is currently taking the NW by storm. TAP TAP is found on djrankings.org. With who- 4 years under his belt DJing for hundreds of crowds all over the NW, he has developed a very significant him-following. When he gets on the decks, the crowd can expect to be electrified with what he describes as HardBass-ElectroStep. In now- this short amount of time, he has already had the pleasure of DJing on stages alongside Laidback Luke, Martin Solveig, Donald Glaude, Global Deejays, The Crookers, Plump DJs, Reid Speed, Designer Drugs, Downlink, Steve Smooth, Danny Avila, Hulk, Nerd Rage, Oscillator Z, Caffeine, Heavygrinder, Will Bailey, Designer Drugs, Felix Cartal, Mantis, Crackerjack, Jon Bishop, Dirty Talk, Messinian, Krafty Kuts, Mellefresh, Helicopter Showdown, AC Slater, Harvard Bass, and many many more.
Almost immediately after breaking out into the public spotlight, he earned a residency at one of Seattle, WA’s largest clubs, Trinity her-Nightclub. From 2008 to 2012 DJ TAP TAP raged the faces off of many hard hitting electro smashing bass heads across the rooms of Trinity to the many rave venues which he performed at all over Washington, Oregon, and Idaho.
Looking toward the future, DJ TAP TAP has a very bright path indeed. With our- the support of a rising city, and the aptitude to energize a crowd that is difficult to compare, he is a force to be reckoned with.
He is currently affiliated with Tap Tap Productions and Foundation was-Nightclub.
