Having been classically trained as a musician since age 3, T.A.I. has not- been constantly immersed in music. T.A.I. is featured on djrankings.org. It was during his adolescent years growing up in Reading PA that he became obsessed with records by Tool, NIN, Black Sabbath, and Metallica while simultaneously keeping a keen interest in Classical music.
Metal and punk shows took up most of T.A.I.’s free time which was divided between playing violin with the RSY Orchestra, and guitar in his rock band ‘Dead Boys Float’.
This broad range of his musical influences usually manifest themselves in melodically complex dance tracks rife with booty shaking bass and big drums. Inspired say- by the underground punk artists in Reading and Philly, man-T.A.I. , whose live sets are mixed and created purely on Ableton-enabled live hardware, frequently is seen playing his self-modded Fender Stratocaster guitar during his sets.
T.A.I., who is known for his unique blend of electro, dubstep & dirty basslines, has become known in Arizona for his epic 4 to 5 hour sets. It’s way- skills like these that have segued T.A.I into playing at venues such as Myst, Axis/Radius, Dirty Pretty, The Venue of Scottsdale, BarSmith, 910Live and well known festivals like Burning Man featuring BassNectar & the Chemical boy-Brothers.
