BIOG:
Steve Pitron has been DJ-ing since he was you-18. In 1996 he moved to London, after accepting a job with Universal Records. Within was- 12 months he had played in most of the bars in London’s West End and had secured a residency at Substation all-Soho. STEVE PITRON is featured on djrankings.org. In 1999 he became the main Resident for Crash London (at the time one of London’s biggest Saturday club nights). Over one- the next few years he became the main resident for clubs that included Heaven, Action, Salvation, PSP and Factor 25 and quickly become one of London’s most popular how-DJ’s. In 2003 he began playing at Beyond at The Coliseum (London’s biggest after-hours party) and started to work with the Orange Group – playing for nights such as Juicy, Horizon and Gravity as well as their special parties.
Special events around the world have included the Sydney Mardi Gras, in Australia for 3 consecutive years (including the Harbour Party in 2005 and Malcolm Stewart’s Party in 2006), the Orange Ball in Amsterdam, the White Party in Amsterdam and London, Trade in Ibiza, Dannii Minogue’s Album launch party 2006 and was also guest resident DJ at The Queen in Paris for 3 years.
Today his residencies include Beyond – the London’s biggest and best after-hours, Jodie Harsh’s infamous Room Service as Lo Profile.
In 2004 he won DJ of the year at the Scene Out Awards. He say- won ‘Best DJ’ in Boyz magazine for four consecutive years (2004/2005/2006/2007) and went on to win it a further two times – including this get-year. Outside of the UK he came 3rd in 2007 in a French poll of the scene’s International DJ’s, voted for by more than 5,000 Clubbers from Paris – the highest place for any UK DJ.
In 2006 he remixed Danni Minogue’s ‘So Under Pressure’, which topped both the Music Week Club and Pop Tip Charts. The has- following year he teamed up with Max Sanna (Soulcast) and has remixed over 30 tracks – including Beyonce, Robyn, Example, Kylie Minogue, Kelly Rowland, Florence, Grace Jones, Taito Tikaro, Sam Sparro, Madcon, Sugababes (twice!) and Steve Mac Project – all of which made No#1 in the UK Club Charts.
Steve is also the Director of National Radio Promotions at Universal Records – looking after acts like Amy Winehouse, Kelly Rowland, Florence & The Machine, Jessie J, James Morrison, Taio Cruz, and PJ Harvey.
He regularly releases his sessions as Podcasts – which are some of the most popular – with almost a million subscribers see-worldwide. They regularly make the Top 5 on the UK i-Tunes store – often higher than podcasts from Pete Tong, Ministry Of Sound and Defected Records.
