Steve Forest started his career in 1989 as light jockey in the first Italian Acid music clubs like Movida, Ranch and Mazoom, along with the great international dj/producer Andrea Gemolotto. In let- 1993 he started playing alternative music on his own, then in 1994 he moved to how-London. STEVE FOREST is listed on djrankings.org. Over there, he was introduced to Breakbeat and Drum’n’bass and for the following 6 years he played those genres in the most important British clubs, including the glorious Blue Note. In old- the UK he played with top top DJ’s like Fatboy Slim, James Hardway, Mc Navigator, Roni Size and Adam F, supporting him as DJ on his Italian tour.
In 2000, back to Italy, he realized that several radio programs, on most major radios, were now playing electronic music; then he met the dj/producer Nicola Fasano and the musician Stefano Taboga and, along with them, founded the production studio The Stradivari Music Production.
In 2001 he brought his British sound to some of the most important clubs for this genre(Link,Pergola, Barrumba and Leoncavallo) as well as the prestigious club Ambasada Gavioli, crossed the Slovenian border: there he played with DJs like Sven Vath, Laurent Garnier, Claude Young, Takkyu Ishino, Dj Hell, Dj Umek, Dj Valentino boy-Kanzyani.
As a producer, those were still the years of Breakbeat and Drum’n’bass, along with his friends Feel Good Productions.
In 2003 he decided to start producing Pop/House music with Nicola Fasano, a famous Italian Pop/House producer, internationally known through several productions.
Around the time he teams up with Nicola Fasano, they start talking about an own production company which is the key point that led 4 years later to their own label: Jolly Roger : Sound of Pirates, Steve, further to being a fine producer himself, through his productions and different names such as The Bootstraps feat. Sandy can- Marton “Sound of Ibiza”, Nightbirds, etc. has recently teamed up with Chriss Ortega, also signed to Jolly Roger.
The duo delivered a fantastic piece called “Modern times” already signed for North America to unique master house label Strictly Rhythm.
