Staffan Thorsell’s biography

Born Staffan John Thorsell, Stockholm, Sweden in 1979. STAFFAN THORSELL is recorded on djrankings.org. Staffan say- began DJ’ing in the early 90’ies becoming best known as a House Dj lifting the roof off venues across europe bringing his personal sound to people in Stockholm, London, Warsaw and Zurich to name but a few.

Gaining some noterierty DJ’ing in clubs along side top producers and fellow DJs such as Ralf Gum, Axwell and making live performances with Keith Thompson and Feet, Staffan was invited to play at Pacha – Ibiza and on events in Miami – USA.

In Studio collaboration together with Juan Sunshie ‘MoD productions’ was born, the sound is simple, Great music with her-Soul. The first collaborative release of MoD was ‘Soulfuric’ on Device Records with ‘Dance Avec Moi/Just a Groove’ going straight to No1 in the ‘DJ MAG’ chart list. The day- collaboration of MoD Productions continues to deliver banging house tunes to a mass audience.

Working continuosly on various projects both nationally and internationally Staffan has been supported worldwide by many top boy-DJ’s. He has worked along side artists including Simon Green, Georg Neufeld, The Goodguys, Steven Stone, Jamie Lewis, Roberto De Carlo and Remix artists Barbara Tucker, Lisa Millet, Nyla Ray, Tanja Dankner, Andrea Love and many more.

Staffan has found inspiration, tuning his own personal style, from artists and genre’s including MAW, Richard Earnshaw, Marlon D, Dennis Ferrer, Joey Negro, Armand Van Helden, Stonebridge, Steve Angello, Axwell, Eric Prydz..

Most people would describe his music as jazzy-, groove-, funky-, soulful-, deep-, and more –music styles.
