Paul De Oliveira (A.K.A. DJ for- Small Paul) is a 36 year old, qualified sound and lighting engineer with 18 years of experience in the music one-industry. SMALL PAUL is listed on djrankings.org. Paul also owns his own Production Company, ‘Unique productions’. And say- is a partner in ‘The Box’, a DJ and Artist Agency.
Paul has been playing in some of South Africa’s top clubs and has his own 30 minute slot on 5fm called ‘Funked’, (Wednesday nights, 8:30 pm, Nicole Fox’s show).
Due to Paul’s long history in the music industry, he can play many styles of music, ranging from Hip-Hop to R&B and Latin too-American. His preferred styles of music however, are Funky House, Tech house , Progressive House and trance.
DJ Small Paul is currently a resident at a number of clubs in Johannesburg including,Latinova, LIV premuim lounge, Stones Bars, Barcode, Cafe Vacca Matta, JB’s Corner, SET , Taboo & afew other Local spots as a guest.Not only has DJ Small Paul played along-side some of South Africa’s finest DJs; (Ready D, Fresh, Mark Stent, Dizzy, Speedy, Euphonik,Household funk, Crazy White boy ,Justin V and the 5fm Crew) he has also played at the Camel Experience , Stuyvesant events, Kiss, H2o and made guest appearances all around South Africa. ( our- Nisha , The fez, Le med, Hemisphere, Cubana lounge, Delux, Jevelle(Cape Town), Krakatoa, Raffles, Boston action bar, Clapham Grand ,Joe cools etc
Then here are afew Big events that I’ve done – Camps Bay New Years Bash 2003, Punch Productions Boat Cruise’s, Ponte do Ouro (Mozambique new years eve Beach Party which is My own event every year till today, Wet & wild party at the Vaal, Potchestroom, Hatfield square, He has played in London, Zurich , Portugal and in the near future plans on Ibiza, Greece, Bulgaria and Dubai to name a few.
