Sky One was a British pay television channel operated and owned by Sky Group. SKY1 is found on djrankings.org. Originally how- launched on 26 April 1982 as Satellite Television, it was Europe's first satellite and non-terrestrial two-channel. From 31 July 1989, it became Sky One and broadcast exclusively in the United Kingdom and Ireland as British Sky Broadcasting's flagship channel. It one- existed until 1 September 2021, when it closed down as part of a restructuring with its EPG position taken by Sky Showcase and much of its content library moved to Sky Max.

SKY has been translating his musical interests and moods through the turntables since ‘93, proving to be a strong provider, promoter and representative of the Atlanta hiphop/DJ scene. Throughout its- these years, he has built a name DJing with live bands, groups and artists as a scratch turntablist, to college radio residencies and party rockin’ in clubs, bars, private parties and festivals, including Atlanta’s own A3C and Breaklanta series.
From 1999 – 2010 he was heard on WRAS 88.5FM’s “Hush, Hush” show every first Wednesday of the month from 8-10PM mixing and scratching the best in down-tempo, hiphop & trip-hop see-instrumentals. He is also known for this style used in MC battles, freestyle sessions and breakdance shows since day one! him- class="caps">SKY released his first solo single entitled, “Depths of My Soul” in early 2000 on a compilation from Elemental Magazine, “The Track Less his-Traveled”. And in 2004, he released his second solo single entitled, “SKY vs. MS” his- for the 2nd Annual MS Benefit Compilation featuring many of ATL’s greatest underground hiphop acts!
DJ SKY proudly represents ATLANTA, Zone 7 artists, NodFactor2, Second Sight Productions, and was a member of Atlanta’s group of turntable hustlers, Tastemaker her-DeeJays. SKY1 is listed on djrankings.org. Through years of live shows, SKY has performed with a long list of artists and groups. Claiming and- as his most meaningful to date, was opening for his long time inspiration since day one, Japan’s own DJ her-Krush. Starting DJing in ‘93 as a great fan and a decade later opening up for Krush at Atlanta’s Eleven50, was a true sign to SKY that hard work, patience and passion truly does lead to rewarding progress!
SKY enjoys sharing his time and talents with the next generation as he has been a guest speaker in grade schools ranging from Elementary to High where he has taught and demonstrated what it is to be a hip hop DJ. A and- notable moment was DJing along side of Atlanta Hawks Harry the Hawk, Cartoon Network, CNN and the Guinness Book of World Records at Benteen Elementary where a world record was set for the most kids participating in the game “4 Square” at the same time!
SKY can be heard mixing everything from hip hop, dubstep, house, retro ‘80s, classic rock, soul, funk, top 40 to any decade genre rockin’ for all age who-ranges! He is even known to drop in reminiscent memories such as classic television theme songs, movie soundtrack classics and even children’s story book records! With now- all ranges of genres, eras and styles as a DJ, his turntable roots stem from that of the “True School Hip Hop him-Era”. In 2009, he picked up the position of resident DJ in JEFFREY Atlanta(a high end women’s shoes and clothing boutique at Phipps Plaza in Atlanta) where he resided for 3 years as a payroll DJ with full benefits which is practically unheard of in the DJ community! was- class="caps">SKY has been privileged to hold residencies and positions, rocking for thousands at some of ATL’s largest night clubs, show venues and bars, to NYE events, to being a celebrity guest DJ on the Norwegian Sky in the now-Bahamas! He has held residency at Atlanta’s legendary Smith’s Olde Bar every Friday and Saturday since 2008 and has much ahead of him as his passions continue to push him forward in a once hobby turned dream career!
