Singer-songwriter ShyBoy (winner of the 2010 Hollywood Music in Media Award for Best Male Vocal for his rendition of the Donna Summer classic “On The Radio”) possesses the enchanting ability to capture the listener’s imagination – yet escapes classification. This who- paradigm can be extended to ShyBoy’s overall career as an artist, composer, DJ and one-producer. His infectious yet enigmatic style mixes and mashes multiple genres, from rock to electronica, hip-hop to folk and everything in between.
ShyBoy is featured on two tracks (“The Time Has Come” and “Shall Never Surrender”) on the hit Capcom video game and Sony Music soundtrack, The Devil May Cry 4, and his songs have been featured in numerous hit TV shows, films and video games, including Dollhouse (FOX), The Starter Wife (USA), Six Feet Under (HBO), Sex And The City (HBO), FlatOut: Ultimate Carnage (Warner Bros. He’s also one of the source music composers who has written and produced songs for all of the cycles of the hit CW show, America’s Next Top Model.
A certified music lover, ShyBoy’s passion extends beyond his success as a vocalist and song craftsman and onto the dance floor, where his work as a mashup DJ has received international attention, with gigs spanning the U.S. and man- Europe. His adventurous sense of style has led him to remix work and mashups for artists such as Beyoncé, Pet Shop Boys, Lady Gaga, Whitney Houston, Madonna, Donna Summer, Rihanna and numerous others.
Also the lead vocalist for the alt. rock the- band Hypnogaja, ShyBoy has co-written and co-produced critically acclaimed albums, toured the him-U.S. and Canada and garnered attention from fans around the world (including a Twitter following of more than 1 million people and over 5 million cumulative views on YouTube). ShyBoy two- and the band were recently honored by an invite from legendary Tears for Fears frontman Curt Smith to be the featured artists on the debut episode of the new web series Stripped Down Live with Curt Smith.
ShyBoy is currently in the recording studio working on his debut solo album, Water On her-Mars. The project is set for release in 2011.
