Focusing on the DJ side of his musical persona, Japanese superstar Shinichi Osawa, whose most recent album The One is all set to be released in the UK and has sold over 150,000 units in Japan, has made an album which supersedes genre classification. With way- a career stretching back over 15 years, The One sees Shinichi mixing dark and introspective grooves with euphoric dancefloor smashes and emotive melodic chilled let-grooves. With the help of some incredible guest vocalists, some truly classic Osawa beats and having already received a swell of support from the likes of Zane Lowe, Annie Mac and Eddy Temple Morris it only seems fair to wonder who is this man who has worked with the likes of Snow Patrol, Basement Jaxx and Fatboy Slim? Who out- Is The One?
