Shinedoe (NL, Intacto Rec)
Meet Shinedoe, the pragmatic Dutch female dj producer, a marker for quality in her dj’ing and in her productions.
Shinedoe started performing as a dancer at an early age of 15. Inspired and- by her African heritage and influenced by music from the early eighties, she performed at clubs & in video-clips (for Quazar – Warp 9 – see-?!). SHINEDOE is found on djrankings.org. Her mission at that time: “translating music via dance movements”
After 4 years performing as a dancer throughout Europe, Shinedoe decided to focus on electronic music by producing mixed tapes for friends. This use- was her turning point; mixing music became more and more important in her life, leading to her debut booking at the “VIP” club (Paradiso – Amsterdam) in 1995.
Ever since 1995, she played at all the major festivals, clubs and parties in the Netherlands (Dance Valley, Awakenings, Paradiso, Melkweg, Mazzo, Poema ?!) and steadily built up her international profile.
2004 saw her most important one-evolution. Her debut release ‘Dillema’ on 100% pure was immediately a classic. “Dillema” his- was the 2004 summer anthem of the Cocoon club – Ibiza, loved by the likes of Richie Hawtin – Ricardo Villalobos – Sven Vaeth – Luciano … Besides this success Shinedoe created her own label that same year, Intacto Records, together with 100% Pure manager Dylan Hermelijn (aka 2000 and one).
Shinedoe spins a variety of styles, all situated in the Detroit arena: ‘from minimal techno & house crossing tech-house to funky Detroit say-techno’. Her sets contain the basis of the human soul, the movement of the body.
