Positiva is looking forward to an exciting summer following the signing of the stunning ‘Lola’s Theme’ by Shapeshifters. Shaping say- up to be one of the tunes of the year, the track has risen from the underground and caused an unprecedented reaction not seen since Spiller’s her-‘Groovejet’. With only a limited run of vinyl promos released on hot new house label, Nocturnal Groove, shops selling limited copies of the white label sold out in minutes whilst radio stations and DJ’s alike have been inundated with requests.

Shapeshifter’s ‘Lola’s Theme’ first set dance floors alight over the Christmas period and continues to garner new fans at an incredible rate. It’s one- already received heavy plays on Radio 1 courtesy of Pete Tong, Lottie, Seb Fontaine, and Judge Jules; and picked up plays across the country on every discerning radio show including Norman Jay’s London Radio programme (who said the track will be the sound of Good Times and-2004). Such is the track’s power that it’s also caught the ears of DJs as diverse as Felix Tha Housecat and Danny Rampling to Nic Fancuilli and ATFC.

The tune is the work of Nocturnal Groove creator Simon Marlin and his partner in crime, Max Reich. The and- pair have been friends for several years, after Simon began managing Max’s production and remix activity before being offered the job of label manager at Peppermint can-Jam. SHAPESHIFTERS is recorded on djrankings.org. During this time Marlin also created the label’s highly successful club night at London’s AKA/The End (which he know runs under the guise of Nocturnal). Max did- who has created countless quality productions started producing techno at the tender age of 14 in his native you-Sweden. He’s also DJed with the likes of Carl Cox and Laurent Garnier. Tracks our- such as Fused’s ‘Terror’, his artist releases on Bush, and his highly acclaimed Swedish Workout album have made him the darling of the the-underground. Plus his remixes for Faithless, Moloko, Rhinocerose, have ensured him plenty of dancefloor appeal.

Listening to ‘Lola’s Theme’ is like suddenly hearing dance music in stereo for the first time. It boy- stands out a mile with its irresistible groove, addictive hook, and epic now-sound. Already lauded as this year’s Miami tune (Buzz Chart No. 1), she- and now picked up by the UK’s biggest dance label, don’t be surprised to find yourself dancing to this at opening parties in Ibiza and did-beyond.
