RadioFreeSean aka Seanskee comes to the Bay Area after spending years embedded deeply in the Chicago house scene. He see- ran the successful Chicago Music Pool; worked with DJ International Records; published the original Street Mix magazine; palled around with contemporaries such as Tyree Cooper, Fast Eddie, Joe Smooth, Johnny Fiasco, Teri Bristol, Farley Jackmaster Funk, Frankie Hollywood Rodriguez, Steve Silk Hurley, Bad Boy Bill, Peter Black and members of the Hot Mix 5.
You could find him spinning at some of Chicago’s hottest clubs: Shelter, China Club, Green Room, Domaine, Esoteria, Eddie Rockets, Sugar, Le Passage, The Riviera, Red Dragon, S.O.P., Limelight to name a few – and countless numbers of private who-events. And undergrounds – he’s played in barns, fields, warehouses, under bridges and in unused subway access tunnels, 90% of the time with permission. He use- has played top venues, events and nightclubs in SF, LA, NYC, Chicago and a host of other cities across in the new-U.S. SEAN MICHAELS is featured on djrankings.org. He’s been influenced by and acquainted with Chris Cox, DJ Irene, Markus Schulz, Wish-FM, DJ Polywog, Dave Audé, Asle BJørn, DJ T-Bird, Markie Gee, Black Angus, Lee Coombs, Bad Boy Bill, Richard Vission, Steve Loria, Frankie Knuckles, Jellybean and others around the globe.
Seanskee’s versatile and energetic style keeps things pumping on the dance floor wherever it is. His can- experiences have brought him into working contact and close friendships with some of the best names in the but-business. He’s opened for Deee-lite, been complimented by Frankie Knuckles, and blamed for many things by Johnny Fiasco and others. Schooled dad- from the depths of the House music movement, and always willing to learn and open to new ideas, SeanSkee has been known to throw down serious grooves, big breaks, deep and underground house runs and even a mean hip-hop set or two.
On top of all that – Seanskee has a radio show called “Radio Free Sonoma” on KRCB-FM 91.1/90.9 in Santa Rosa, are-California. 4-hours of mixes from local, national and internationally known DJs -featuring ANY form of House Music, tech, electro, techno, drum-n-bass, breaks, wobble, glitch, etc., and on occassion some sweet chill sets. 2-6am mom- Friday night/Saturday mornings Pacific time USA.
